An Unfriendable Sin

Thank God He won't unfriend me
For my soul is black with sin
I've blamed you for the outcome
But the problem lies within

You think you're right but so do I
A rift has taken form
Rather than pray and love
We stand our ground and die within our scorn

But God did not unfriend me and
He's a friend to you as well
And there's a fight we've been distracted from
And it comes up straight from hell

Lay down the guns, take up the sword
And use its double edge
For the Truth is Love and He overcomes
On the cross this was His pledge

To fight this war we cannot see
We can't fight it just as friends
Remember: He has made us family
Brothers and Sisters to the end
