Homecoming
Come bring me home at the light of dawn
Or the noon day song
With the sun warming the flower beds and
Dappled through the trees
Come bring me home while the songbird sings
When loved ones are gathered
And children’s laughter fills the room
Come bring me home as I think of you
Think of your grace and all you brought me through
Come bring me home as I breathe in you and breathe out praise
Each inhale and exhale an act of worship to you
Come bring me home when the owl mourns
While loved ones slumber
And children’s dreams fill their head
Come bring me home at twilight’s dusk
During the evening lullaby
When voices are hushed and silence is holy
And moonlight shines in the darkest hour.
